What does a tour day include?
A private vehicle and chauffeur for an agreed number of hours, driving your group between the properties you choose, with the car waiting at each stop.
The day is yours to shape. Coats, bags and any bottles you buy stay in the vehicle, and nobody is watching the clock to get back to a parked car.
Groups from a single couple to a full van can be accommodated; tell us the head count and the right category is quoted.
Where can a tour go?
Across the wine, cider and spirits country on both sides of the river, plus the farm restaurants, orchards and river towns in between.
Distances here are deceptive — properties that look adjacent on a map can be forty minutes apart on winding roads. Planning the order of stops geographically is what keeps a day relaxed rather than frantic, and that is part of what you are booking.
Autumn is the busiest season by a wide margin, and Saturday dates in October are the first to go.
How does booking work?
Send the date, start time, group size and the places you want to visit; you receive a written quote with the hours, vehicle and total.

What affects the quote?
Vehicle category, number of hours, total distance, the day and season, and pickup location.
Tours are quoted hourly with a stated minimum. If the day runs over, additional time is confirmed with you rather than added silently.
How far ahead should we reserve?
Several weeks for autumn weekends and holiday periods; a week or two is often enough at quieter times of year.
Because every trip is scheduled in advance, a same-week request may still work — but the earlier the date is held, the more choice you have over start time and vehicle.

- Do you plan the itinerary or do we?
- Either. Many guests arrive with a list of places they want to visit; others describe the kind of day they want and ask for suggestions. What we will not do is claim a partnership or preferential access at any winery — bookings and tastings are arranged by you.
- How many stops fit into a day?
- Three or four is comfortable. Tastings run longer than people expect, driving times between properties add up, and lunch deserves an unhurried hour. Five is possible but usually feels rushed.
- Do we need reservations at each winery?
- Often, yes, particularly at weekends and in autumn. Make your tasting reservations directly with each property and send the times, so the driving plan matches the bookings you hold.
- Can you carry cases of wine?
- Yes. Tell us at booking if you expect to buy, and an SUV is quoted so bottles travel safely rather than at your feet.
- Is this booked hourly or as a fixed trip?
- Wine tours are almost always hourly, because the day should be able to run long without renegotiating. The hourly rate, minimum and expected total are all in the written quote.
